  • Joy Metzger - Women In Church Planting
Joy Metzger currently serves with her husband Phil at CalvarySD in San Deigo California. She has been serving in ministry since she was a young adult and has served in various capacities. She has helped raise up the next generation of church planters and missionaries while serving at Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe. She and Phil have taken part in a radical movement of God in Eastern Europe, where they helped plant several churches and ultimately handed over a church in Budapest Hungary to local leadership which still serves the community with great success. She has a valid and vital voice in the space of church planting and missions, and I am so blessed to have her on the podcast. CGN Cultivate CGN Media Email me: [email protected]

  • Dan Steel - Why Do Church Plants Fail?
This week's guest on Temporary Tenants is Dan Steel. Dan Steel serves as the senior pastor of Magdalen Road Church in Oxford, England. Before returning to his hometown of Oxford, he helped plant Grace Church Dell Road in Birmingham, England. He and his wife, Zoe, have four children. During Covid Dan took it upon himself to do a data analysis on Why Church Plants Fail. He interviewed several church planters and members and wrote out a detailed document on the subject. His hope is that this would be used to create more transparent conversations about why church plants fail, and what we can learn from the stories of those who have failed. He currently partners with Acts 29, and helps mentor and train church planters in the UK and Ireland. Here is the link to the article. I would encourage anyone in ministry, church planting, or considering church planting to read this, and apply some lessons that can be learned from it. • Jordan Silva - Unconventional Church Planting
Our guest this week is Jordan Silva. Jordan and his wife Jenny are serving as missionaries to Kosovo with their sons Nyle (5), and Cassian (1). God first drew us into international missions in 2012, and we have served short and mid-term in Asia and the Balkans, moving to Kosovo in 2019. Our heart is to see the young people of Kosovo come to know the hope and transformation that is found in Jesus.  In 2021, we opened a coffee shop/community center in the heart of Prishtinë, Kosovo. Every step was so clearly provided for by God’s lavish grace, and the partnership and prayers of the family of God. Through this welcoming space, the Kosovar staff and American volunteers of our team engage in meaningful relationships and conversations about the gospel. When we look around that space, seeing table after table of students engaging with our team in genuine friendship, community, and eternal conversations, we are filled with joy and thankfulness.
