Ep 598: Melissa Aellen, Linganore Winecellars, Winery Fingerprint Series, Part 6

    08.01.2026 | 39 min.

If you work at a winery, a producer group or region, register for book updates and be the first to hear about live events at www.interpretingwine.com/wf2026  Today's conversation features Melissa Aellen, Linganore Winecellars. Melissa is my first ever guest from Maryland, a US state with over 80 wineries.  Linganore Winecellars are the largest producer in the state. Sitting on 230 acres of rolling countryside, with 80 acres under vine, producing over 30 grape, fruit, and honey wines. This conversation leans into discovery, which makes sense as I am yet to visit Maryland.  But this didn't hold us back. As Melissa and I were ultimately able to develop a powerful winery fingerprint, which she is keen to test within the local community. How did we do? How did we get there? Listen on to find out. Ep 597: Theresa Breuer, Weingut Georg Breuer, Winery Fingerprint Series, Part 5

    05.01.2026 | 41 min.

If you work at a winery, a producer group or region, register for book updates and be the first to hear about live events at www.interpretingwine.com/wf2026  Today's conversation features Theresa Breuer, Weingut Georg Breuer in Rheingau, Germany. I visited the winery in July 2024 at the invitation of Wines of Germany. Theresa shows that applying the model to a multi-generational family business can uncover something quite unique. And their Winery Fingerprint matches perfectly to their business focus of distribution through a network of international partners. I really love what we discovered together in this episode and how the Winery Fingerprint model accurately and meaningfully captures their story. Ep 595: Joe Wiens, Wiens Cellars, Winery Fingerprint Series, 3/26

    29.12.2025 | 27 min.

If you work at a winery, a producer group or region, register for book updates and be the first to hear about live events at www.interpretingwine.com/wf2026  Today's conversation features Joe Wiens, Wiens Cellars. Joe features twice in this series for two different projects, both in Temecula, Southern California, where I visited in June 2025 at the invitation of Temecula Wines. Joe shows that the Winery Fingerprint model can uncover something quite different, even for the same person at different wineries. With the two projects reflecting the choice offered by Temecula, these two episodes show how projects within the same region can attract different audiences. And give visitors a reason to visit both.  I really love what we discovered together in this episode and how the Winery Fingerprint model accurately and meaningfully captures their story. Ep 594: Steven Thompson, Analemma Wines, Winery Fingerprint Series, 2/26

    11.12.2025 | 42 min.

Today's conversation features Steven Thompson of Analemma Wines in Mosier on the Oregon side of the Columbia Gorge. Hearing his origin story we get a sense of both his deeper motivations and twists and turns on the way. But as you will hear, I believe to break through the noise more effectively they need something much sharper.  And listening back to this episode I really love what we discovered together and based on my own experience of visiting Analemma I think my proposed Analemma Winery Fingerprint can be a powerful tool for more efficient customer outreach and engagement.
