The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.This week we conclude our look at the Knights of the Crucible, which we overviewed last week. First encountered in Pillars of Eternity, they are one of three main quest factions that you can engage with to gain clout within the city of Defiance Bay. They began as Blacksmiths trained in Combat, and were instrumental in the War of Defiance. A war which garnered the Dyrwood's independence from their mother nation, Aedyr. This week features a special recording with the guys from Avowedcast, sans Tsora, the creator of that show, which has been in the community strong since 2020. Without it, my podcast wouldn't exist, and with the recent news that the creator was taking a step back from the internet in general, the rest of us got together for one last hurrah.
